Under the MABS, interested and qualified banks throughout the Philippines shall be selected for participation in the program. These banks will receive intensive technical assistance and training in microfinance lending and deposit mobilization. These participating banks will be required to commit some of their own resources to the effort, including but not limited to lending capital, staffing, commodities, time, and effort.
